MONTGOMERY -- A new initiative seeks high school and college students to participate in The Dream Marches On Youth Day of Service February 16, 2015, a volunteer effort to assist in preparations for the 50th anniversary commemoration of the Selma-to-Montgomery Voting Rights March.

Activities will range from light landscaping and painting along the trail to helping Montgomery's less fortunate. Organizers hope the event will foster unity among students throughout the region. Registration opens today at www.handsonriverregion.org.

WHAT:   The Dream Marches On Youth Day of Service;
WHEN:   Feb. 16, 2015, but registration opens today;
WHO:     Any high school and college students.
